Pasta and Provisions…

One of the ‘hidden’ treasures of Charlotte is Pasta and Provisions, and Italian food market where you can get fresh pasta, real Italian sausages, cheese, and pretty much anything needed to make your meal Italiano!

First we looked looked at the meats… I’m not much of a ham/sausage person… but I have to admit that these options looked pretty good to me… so if sausage is your thing I suggest you go and check it out!

Then we looked at the cheese….

The only thing missing… my favorite goat cheese… they make up for that later when you get to the hand-made fresh ravioli…

Now for some of the various items in the market section (the right side of the store, between the sausages and the work area in the back…)

Yep this is coming with me… crackers shaped like mini baguettes… come on… you can’t pass that up!
Possible future purchase

Now… let’s get serious… We need to pick out something for Sunday nights dinner… (it was a long day… to much going on to make it tonight…)

We looked over the raviolis first… but we remembered out original plan… a pasta dish, with either some sauce… or pesto…
We opted for basil pesto, while my mom picked out the gorgonzola/artichoke dip…

Now it was time for the pasta options… of course we had to look at the menu first…

Here’s a better view of the ‘fresh pasta’ section… we decided on the basil, and the spinach… next we had to pick out how we wanted the pasta cut…
This was very helpful…

We opted to have the basil cut fettucini, and the spinach cut into angel hair… Check out the pics of the other items we picked up…

Grape soda… and french bread…

Check back with ‘thelifeandtimesofafoodie’ for the meal we created with these wonderful fresh items… and go check out the place for yourselves…
