Flash Freezing Herbs

One of the things we’ve run into with our herb garden, is that the herbs sometimes grow faster than we can use them. So we’ve decided to start flash freezing some of them to use later.

It’s a fairly easy process, and allows you to use fresh herbs even when they aren’t in season.

Step 1: Harvest herbs...

Harvest your herbs, wash and let them air dry on paper towels.
STEP 2: Wash herbs and let them air dry on paper towels.
Step 2: Place herbs on baking sheet and place freezer for 1 hour.
Step 3: Place herbs on baking sheet and place freezer for 1 hour.
Place herbs in a air-tight bag and place back in the freezer until use.
Step 4: Place herbs in a air-tight bag and place back in the freezer until use.
