Hickory Farmers Market

We’ve now been to the Hickory Farmers Market twice, once when we dropped off the fabric for the new chairs in my mums design studio, and then the second time when drove up to pick up the finished product.

The first time it was dreary and rainy… and the market was only going to be open for another hour…

Found a mural. They tell you so much about how the town started.

Now for this past Saturday.

There were these gorgeous spring onions.

We enjoyed these figs on bruschetta when we got home. You wouldn't believe how small they were.

We picked up some lovely peaches (can’t wait to make something with them,) corn on the cob (which was fabulous, and I’m not a corn person,) blackberries and figs.

After our little culinary adventure, we decided to head into a nearby Mexican restaurant (Dos Arcos) for a little food before heading home.

Although Davidson is still my favorite farmers market, the Hickory Farmers Market has delicious and exciting things to offer… so we’ll definitely be back.
