I love it when a fellow foodie has a birthday. In January my boss (and faithful blog reader) had a birthday, and I’d been planning just what I put in my the box of foodie deliciousness several months in advance.
So, let’s get started. First you need a fun box. I used one with artsy Parisian cafe scenes. Second, some standard filling for all your goodies to rest in. Then comes the fun part.
These glass test tubes I purchase through Amazon are just perfect for adding herbs, salts, teas and sugars to. The French Thyme came from one of our local haunts Savory Spice Shop in Southend. The Lime Sea Salt and Raspberry Sugar from the Tea and Spice Exchange in Greenville, SC. Lastly, the Ceylon Waltz Tea came from Adagio Teas. (See previous post here.)
These gorgeous macaroons were ‘collected’ at one of our favorite french bistro’s in the South Park area of Charlotte… Cafe Monte’s.
These lovely bread, pastries and preserves were purchased at Whole Foods, also located in the South Park area.
Recipe cards are a must for any foodie, and the Herbs de Provence Olive Oil (from Palmetto Olive Oil Co in Greenville, SC) is delicious on just about anything!
Now time to wrap it all up!
Hope I’ve provided you with some inspiration for your next foodie gift!

Now I must say this is the best post you have made since you are referencing me! 🙂 I can attest to the fact that this was an awesome gift and so much more meaningful because of all the thought and time that was put into it. Everything has been delicious! Still trying to decide a good use for the fun Parisian style box but it will hit me one of these days. 🙂 Thank you so much!
