Dining at Bernardins

A few weekends ago, before going to the Charlotte Symphony’s performance of Romeo and Juliet, we had dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Uptown Charlotte, Bernardins.

This time we secured a half table, half booth that had both a lovely view of the restaurant (which we had to ourselves for a little while) as well as a view of the street outside. (If you have a group of 4 or 5, I would recommend requesting the window table, which used to be the display window when the restaurant used to be a flower shop.)

I highly recommend making reservations if you’re planning on attending a performance at the Knights Theater across the street, and letting your waitress know that you will be doing so.

Bread first…
I ordered the salmon this time with spinach.

Mum went with the chicken, mashed potatoes and asparagus.

While we had originally planned on dessert, we were much too full after our meals, but if you’ve saved room. I highly recommend the Peach and Blueberry Cobbler. So delicious!
